Meet the Firms Preparation Events
These events, exclusive to CSUF Accounting Society and Beta Alpha Psi members, gives students an opportunity to introduce themselves to firms that will be attending Meet the Firms. Attendance to these events are highly recommended for first time members and those recruiting for internships and full-time opportunities this semester.
If you are interested in attending these events, RSVP links and details can be found on marketing newsletters sent out to members. Those interested in joining Beta Alpha Psi (or Accounting Society) can speak to our Membership team during tabling in the Business Courtyard during the first four weeks of school.
Accounting Fest
This two-day event brings various accounting firms and professionals to CSUF to speak about their firm. Stop by their booths in between classes to get a glimpse of the firms that will be attending Meet the Firms.
Mock Interviews
There is no such thing as too much practice when it comes to interviews. Current accounting professionals volunteer to help students practice their interview skills by providing direct feedback on the students’ strengths and weaknesses.
Mentoring Sessions
CSUF accounting alumni and current students with offers help recruiting students prepare for MTF. They share their tips and tricks to secure the internship and full time offers. Topics discussed include: Networking, LinkedIn, Resumes, Mock MTF, and Interviewing
Speaker Meetings
Speaker Meetings provide an intimate environment to learn about the firm and connect professionals through networking. This event allows firms to provide information about their firm via presentation followed by a networking session.

Printed copies of your resume
Business Professional Dress Code
Men: Business Suit (Blazer and Slacks), tucked in dress shirt, simple tie, dress shoes, dark socks
Women: Suit pants/skirt (at or below knees), Blazer, Collared Blouse, Dress shoes (with heels no higher than 2 inches)

Pre-Meet the Firms Informational Meeting with Firms
Hosted by Irvine Valley College professor Bennet Tchaikovsky, these virtual informational meetings with firms gives students an opportunity to learn more about mid-tier and local firms in the area. Zoom meeting links can be found on AS/BAP member marketing newsletters.
