Events Questions:

• What times/days are speaker meetings held?

  • Beta Alpha Psi consistently has speaker meetings every semester on:

    • Tuesdays from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm @ the Titan Student Union

    • Wednesdays from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm @ the Titan Student Union

  • Meals are typically served an hour before the speaker meeting on Tuesdays/Wednesday. Networking typically takes place for 30-45 minutes following each speaker meeting.

• Can I attend events if I’m not a member?

  • Yes, but you are limited. Our speaker meetings and larger events such as Meet the Firms are open to the public. If you’re not in Beta Alpha Psi, you can alternatively join the Accounting Society to have access to many of our events. If you aren’t a member of either Beta Alpha Psi or Accounting Society, you may be subject to a fee for attending main events such as Meet the Firms.

• Are all events mandatory to attend?

  • No! We realize that CSUF is a commuter school and host many events per week to try to accommodate all commuters. You may pick and choose which events you’d like to attend.

• What is Meet the Firms?

  • Meet the Firms is a career fair that occurs once a semester that features public, private, and governmental accounting firms that are seeking to recruit [mainly] accounting, finance, and information systems students.
