Membership Questions:

  • When can I join Beta Alpha Psi?

    • Membership is typically only open during the first 3-4 weeks of school every semester.

  • How do I receive my Beta Alpha Psi sash for graduation?

    • You must either initiate as a Candidate or be a Member at the end of the semester to receive your sash. Seniors in their final semester that join BAP for the first time can receive their sash as long as they pass candidacy.

  • I am a first-semester freshman. Can I join Beta Alpha Psi?

    • Absolutely! We believe that it is imperative to start early. By joining as a freshman, you will be much better educated than your peers as you’ll have access to peer and alumni mentoring. Besides this, you’ll have experience at our events and receive opportunities usually given to older Candidates.

  • Why does BAP charge so much money for membership?

    • The Delta-Beta Chapter doesn’t have much control over the price of membership. The Beta Alpha Psi Executive Office charges all new members a one time fee of $80. This one time fee includes a lifetime members (upon completion of hours and induction into BAP). Our Chapter knows that the membership fee is a lot of money, so we try to keep it as close to the minimum price as possible.

  • When are membership fees due?

    • Membership fees are due by the last day of our membership drive.

  • What does our membership fee include?

    • A lifetime membership fee in Beta Alpha Psi (upon completion of hours and induction into BAP), a LinkedIn headshot, access to multiple exclusive events, mentorship, socials, the BAP Regional and Annual Conferences, various other professional meetings and other functions.

  • What if I meet all of the requirements, am interested in joining, but don’t have enough time to attend events every week?

    • We understand that every student has obligations other than just school. We try to host multiple events a week to accommodate all students. Ultimately, it’s up to you if you can fulfill the hours. We’ll do as much as we can to help you! Another alternative is joining the Accounting Society. We have many similar events that we host together.

  • As a Candidate, am I allowed to put Beta Alpha Psi on my resume?

    • Yes, but please be sure to state that you are currently a Candidate as firms pay attention to your status within the organization.
